The Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) is a national, professional, non-profit society registered under the societies Registration Act of 1860. First started in 1941 as the Association of Principals of Technical Institutions, it was converted into "Indian Society for Technical Education” in 1968 with a view to enlarging its activities and advancing the cause of technological education. The major objective of the ISTE is to assist and contribute in the production and development of top quality professional engineers and technicians needed by the industries and other organizations.

The program includes presentation, discussion of Technical papers, Project Exhibition and several Technical events for the students. The contemplated areas of discussion are enunciated in the themes given in the poster. The deliberation will centre on the theme "Innovation In Technical Education – Role of Students” with special emphasis on the sub themes like Curriculum development for industrial needs, Industry – Institute partnerships, Women Engineers, Engineer as Entrepreneur, Education vs. Employment, Technical Education to meet global challenges & Technical Education and Role of Polytechnics.
We therefore request you to make as many students as possible from your institution to participate in the convention as well as contribute papers for presentation. The students are also requested to register for the events listed in the poster.
